The short-toed treecreeper (Certhia brachydactyla) is a small insectivorous bird characterized by meticulously inspecting tree trunks with its fine beak to extract food. This bird always nests in covered areas, preferring deep crevices or protected spots under 'flaps' of detached bark.
Our short-toed treecreeper nest box is designed to precisely mimic this detached bark, offering a safe and natural refuge. Each side has small openings that allow the treecreeper to enter as it climbs the trunk, thus facilitating its access and protection during nesting. This nest box is an ideal solution to encourage the presence and reproduction of this species in natural environments or gardens.
